Did you know that when light enters the eyes it stimulates the photoreceptors of the retina.👀 Part of this light goes through a special pathway which stimulates the hypothalamus (the master gland of the body) this sends signals to the pineal and pituitary glands which helps us balance our circadian rhythms. (our wake and sleep cycles) This is why people develop SAD in the winter! ... Light stimulation is needed to help improve retinal health, increase tear production, reduce ocular inflammation, and improve neurological health. 🌞 Who knew?? I love learning new things about the body! Happy Sunday😀
